Fish Discovered Water
“…Whoever it was that first discovered water, Im quite certain it wasn’t a fish”. Sometimes the truth is so obvious its right there in front of our eyes and we still can’t see it!
We cleaned the crescent canal for the first time after about 10 months operating and discovered a plethora of life inhabiting including a very large crayfish couple (how romantic!) and a whole school of little fish. How it is that these creatures came to discover and make the isolated crescent their home is just one of those beautiful mysteries of the way life always “finds a way”…probably through 700 feet of 2” drainpipe from the upper lagoon.
The Crescent Canal is a 5,000 gallon rainwater Catchment and fire protection pond constructed last year at The Madrona Earth Center.
