Spanish Bi-Lengual Water Conservation Training

SPANISH QWEL GRAYWATER for Professionals Course in Spanish – June 2015

  • Client – Marin County 

  • Location – Marin County, CA 

  • Duration – grant period January 2015 – July 2015 

  • Role in the Project - WaterNow / Trust for Conservation Innovation was Lead on this project 

    • Revised class content based on comments and suggestions from January class to better tailor the course to landscapers; 

    • Translated all course curriculum into Spanish;

    • Conducted marketing and outreach;

    • Secured the classroom facility;

    • Hosted a 4-day course including one on-site hands-on day;

    • Secured and permitted a demonstration site;

    • Translated to Spanish tools to ease the permitting process

    • Proctored and graded the QWEL examination; 

    • Conducted follow-up and tracking of graduates, connected homeowners interested in installing a graywater system with class graduates, arranged for site visits and site evaluations between homeowner, class graduates, and graywater instructor. 

    • Hosted a review session and retest opportunity for those who did not receive a passing score on the first test.
